XLPE belongs to XLPO. The similarities between the two are that they both undergo a radiation cross-linking process. Unlike PVC which is thermoplastic, they are both thermosetting materials that can withstand high temperatures. The difference lies in the degree of softness: PVC>XLPO>XLPE. XLPO has the best weather resistance among the three.
