Summary
Sunkean Cable Co., Ltd. is committed to responsible sourcing and supply chain transparency. We strictly prohibit the use of conflict minerals from the DRC and surrounding regions, require mineral traceability, and work with suppliers to ensure ethical, compliant, and sustainable practices.

Certain metal minerals have become a major source of funding for armed rebel groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and surrounding regions. These minerals are used to finance the trade of weapons, sustain violent conflicts with government forces, and cause severe humanitarian harm to local civilians, drawing widespread international concern.
Sunkean Cable Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”), as a responsible global corporate citizen, firmly opposes the use of any minerals originating from conflict-affected areas. Although the Company does not directly import cassiterite or related minerals from the Democratic Republic of the Congo or its neighboring countries, we nevertheless make the following commitments:
· To continuously enhance internal awareness of and compliance with the U.S. Conflict Minerals Rule and other applicable international regulations;
· To refuse the use or acceptance of metals derived from conflict-affected or high-risk areas;
· To actively promote transparency and compliance throughout the supply chain.
Accordingly, the Company requires all suppliers to comply with the following requirements:
1. Fulfill social and environmental responsibilities and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internationally recognized standards for ethics and sustainable development;
2. Ensure that supplied products do not contain “conflict minerals” originating from the Democratic Republic of the Congo or its surrounding countries and regions;
3. Establish traceability mechanisms to identify and trace the sources of the following minerals contained in wire and related products:
Gold (Au), Tantalum (Ta), Tin (Sn), Tungsten (W), Copper (Cu), Cobalt (Co), Nickel (Ni), Lithium (Li), and Mica;
4. Communicate and cascade these requirements to upstream suppliers, ensuring that the entire supply chain complies with conflict minerals regulations.
Definition of Conflict Minerals
“Conflict minerals” refer to minerals originating from conflict-affected areas of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, including columbite-tantalite (coltan), cassiterite, wolframite, and gold. These minerals are processed into tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), and tungsten (W) (collectively referred to as the “3T minerals”) and gold (Au), which are widely used in electronic and other industrial products.
The Company will continue to monitor international regulations and industry best practices and remains committed to building a compliant, transparent, and sustainable responsible supply chain.
